Nowhere But Here

Thumbnail Sketch, Digital Sketch, Blocking, Progress and Final Render

When I drew this up i wanted it to have somewhat of a nostalgic quality. I wanted it to feel like home, long forgotten. And i wanted it to feel like a person would take a journey here to remember something past.

My Buddy (Maya Software Render)

Software: Maya, Photoshop, Maya software Renderer.

This is a Nurbs Model based on my favorite guitar. I broke him about a year ago, but he will live on forever in this digital reproduction, It pretty much looks exactly like my old guitar did, dents and all.

Troll (Real Time Version)

This is the low poly Real time version of my troll character. Its amazing how much detail you can get from a normal map. You can almost swear that the mole under his nose and the ridges on his head are modeled and not mapped.

Sketches

The character on the right has an odd job where he Carry's and protects various cargo on his back. Sometime its hazardous materials. The container is extremely heavy and it requires someone of his stature to carry it.

Character Sketches

These are a few character sketches. I tried to mix up the techniques i used from simplistic shapes, to shapes that had more form to them. I also tried to implement some dynamic poses into the characters to make them feel as if they were moving and keep some life in them.
